I see clearly...

there is no point in talking about the past
no point in talking about the future
all we have is here and now
and as the sun comes down
gently kissing the ocean goodnight
I will no longer fight
this war for love
cause it's pointless

NOOOOOOO!!! This goes in the face of everything I believe and hold dear. I agree totally with the first 3 lines, and I love them.

But then, dont lose hope, this game or war, or whatever it is, Love as its commonly called, its not worth giving up on. Eventually you will succeed, as long as you keep trying.
Judging by the emotional level you worked me up into, and the level u have in the poem, I would say its well written. Short, sadly, but then again, short and sweet, so its a good thing.

Odd. I rather took the poem to mean that love is worth giving up in, if you're not willing to fight for it - although whether the war or love is 'pointless' is left ambiguous.

unfortunately i have to face reality...i have to leave the one i think i am in love with soon...we live on two different continents in two different worlds and he is too realistic to even try..maybe thats good idk cause college is coming up...but maybe we will lose something we never completely had... it just makes me sad + i don't know for sure what exactly he is feeling

Love is sometimes hard to give up on....but sometimes there are more important things to consider...I personally, don't believe in "one love of your life"...I think people choose that....whether or not they want to admit it...if this relationship doesn't work out, its not the end of the world, even when it feels like it...the only thing you have to watch out for is regret that prevents you from moving on...if you have too much paralyzing regret you may want top reconsider what you did to your relationship....

if I'm full of shit, feel free to tell me...I'm just rambling...
